Val Ahir gained his PhD (organometallic chemistry) from London University in 1976. Before founding Makevale, he was a scientific officer for a range of dental firms and small acrylic manufacturers. The Doc is a proud Father, grandfather, and yoga enthusiast. He has an overfull schedule driving the Group but remains actively involved in R&D.

Manu Naik completed his MSc in engineering in 1975. After considerable teaching in London, he joined the company in 1981 and continues to oversee the operations of all the production sites. He is the Doc’s brother-in-law and maternal uncle to Samit. He is a proud Father and has a deep passion for cricket.

Samit Ahir finished his PhD (soft matter/polymer physics) at the University of Cambridge in 2006. He is the author of several international papers & book chapters, has worked both in the UK and USA and founded a charity and dance company in 2005. He is a FreshMinds Ones to Watch™ selected mind. Samit is responsible for all new business developments as well as day-to-day Group-wide finance, operations and business functions. Samit has a deep love for dance and has performed on stage & TV.

Mick Hill spent many years with Dentsply before joining Makevale in 1999. He brought with him a wealth of experience and has more recently overseen the successful redevelopment of the Blackpool site. He is a Father, Grandfather , a committed Francophile and countryside enthusiast who enjoys walking and camping .

Kishore is the newest member of the team having officially joined in early 2010. Kishore directs finance and auditing functions across the Group. He brings three decades of international banking and legal experience to Makevale. He is also a budding chef and investment guru.
