Makevale Wins Prestigious Award

The Queen's Award is the most prestigious business award the United Kingdom can bestow upon a business.

We are delighted to announce that Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve the Prime Ministers's recommendation that a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category should this year be conferred upon Makevale Group Ltd. The innovations span many markets but particular success is recognised in the dental, medical, optical, casting and glass transport industries.

The citation reads, "For the development of a range of acrylic powders for diverse applications, Makevale Group Ltd wins an Award. The range includes non-carcinogenic acrylics, available in many colours, facilitating the manufacture of dentures, and, for the casting industry, optically clear powders, suitable for engineering artefacts of extremes of toughness with high fire retarding properties. The range also includes recyclable bead powders, with low tackiness and friction, for glass transportation and storage, and medical grade material for long-life cements, meeting high handling performance criteria for surgical bone implants and repairs. The innovations have resulted in commercial success for the company as well as significant benefits to customers in four distinct markets.".
