Nanomaterials
Translating nanometer scale properties from the (almost) atomic state to the macroscopic
length-scale poses a significant challenge. By using clever chemistry and coupling
it with state-of-the-art physics, Makevale has begun to deliver products that are
designed from the nanometer scale upwards and whose properties can be suitably fashioned
to meet our customer's requirements.
The nanotube–polymer composites we manufacture have tensile strength, impact resistance
and fatigue resistance that are orders of magnitude greater than the usual
polymer base. They can also be made to be optically clear using our unique
dispersion technology.
The nanomaterials we manufacture are listed below. This is a small snapshot of our
range. You can click on the links to obtain more detailed specification sheets.
If you think this could be a close match to your requirements,

for sales or if you wish to tailor the properties slightly for your unique business
or geographic region, our technical team will be more than happy to hear from you.

What exactly is nanoscience?
An initial thought might be the science of very small objects, about a billionth
of a meter dimensionally. Interestingly, size alone is not enough. Control of the
properties at this length scale is also important. Carbon nanotubes are a good example
of nanotechnology at work. They are a model system where components are on the nanometer
scale but can still be manipulated to tailor the properties of the bulk material
for a particular requirement.
